💡 New light box signage installation brings a modern look to University of Manchester's MECD

The University of Manchester's award-winning Manchester Engineering Campus Development ("MECD") is a truly innovative, collaborative and sustainable teaching, learning and development centre at the heart of the university's Manchester campus.

Home to the University of Manchester's Engineering and Materials departments, the vast space - the size of 11 football pitches and the largest in the UK - allows engineers, scientists and even fashion students to work together, combine skills, learning and resources and to get creative in what is historically one of the world's most industrial cities.

Entirely focused around the learning experiences and opportunities for engineering, science and materials students and teaching staff, MECD offers quality study spaces, 52 purpose-built teaching rooms, two blended lecture theatres with excellent capacities that bring practical and theoretical learning together, laboratories, maker space and computer clusters, together with a choice of 3 cafes and a student support hub.
