The University of Manchester recently set out its strategic ambitions to be a great civic university for the 21st century by 2035, focusing on research, innovation and civic partnership to address global challenges. With Manchester at the centre of this ambitious strategy, "From Manchester for the World" required strong visual branding to communicate its goals and generate excitement for the local area.

Making a striking impact that would communicate the University’s strategy, Impression’s team created and installed signage, vinyls, banners and large format graphics, drawing the attention and interest of passers-by on campus. Marking an important milestone for the University, "AI at Manchester" is an innovation tour marking 75 years since Alan Turing established the Turing Test in what is widely considered to be the first paper on artificial intelligence. Turing’s mechanical typewriter is on display in the Kilburn Building’s museum, and Impression was pleased to install an informative and eye-catching scheme around campus that engaged students and visitors.
