Impression has worked with Wigan Council to install visitor experience signage and finishing touches at Pennington Flash Nature Reserve, prior to our local authority client's launch of the upgraded site.
Branding & menus for The Hide Coffee House: Signage & graphics printed & installed by Impression, Bolton
Pennington Flash Local Nature Reserve is an important 70-acre country park and visitor attraction in Wigan Council's portfolio, offering much-needed outdoor spaces for visitors as well as being a vital lake, woodland and marshland home for mammals, birds and insects, including RSPB red-listed and protected species.
The park includes walks, cycle rides and bridle paths, as well as hides and viewing areas, and a network of paths to allow visitors to enjoy Pennington Flash's natural environment.
Wigan Council undertook a consultation with local residents in 2022 before announcing plans to improve visitor experiences and facilities with a £2.7m redevelopment including:
Impression was tasked by Wigan Council to produce and install new visuals to key elements of the Pennington Flash redevelopment, including signage, branding for the visitor centre and café, and illustrative maps and graphics to help guide and inform visitors around the site.
Installed in early 2023 by our Deliver team, and using artwork supplied by our local authority client, 'The Hide' café is now ready for action with branding and menus in place, and smart, durable external signage has been installed to the car park entrance and exit, engaging visitors in their visit from start to finish.
Working with our client's assets and artwork, and following consultation to fully appraise the site and Wigan Council's goals for the Pennington Flash redevelopment, Impression implemented an impactful and eye-catching signage and graphics scheme including:
âœ”ï¸ Easy-to-read menu boards and displays for The Hide Coffee House
âœ”ï¸ Sleek, crystal-clear branded signage for The Hide in robust materials which will look great for years to come
âœ”ï¸ Ground-mounted, large 2-post car park entry and exit signs, featuring sharp imagery and manufactured from hard-wearing materials which will withstand the Greater Manchester weather!
âœ”ï¸ Large-format graphics mounted onto two-post display boards featuring maps of the site and wildlife information to immerse visitors into the landscape
âœ”ï¸ Wall-mounted large format graphics, with guided routes around the site and car parking information for visitors on arrival
