Earlier in 2022, Regatta announced world-renowned strongman Mark Felix as brand ambassador for its Workwear range. A regular competitor in the World's Strongest Man competition, and a former world record holder in the "Hercules Hold", Mark is also a professional plasterer, making him a great fit for this tough, durable range targeted to tradesmen and women and featuring sizes up to 3XL.

Impression was tasked by key client Regatta to produce props tough enough for this legendary competitor, catching the eye and carrying appeal whilst perfectly promoting the Workwear range.

Unique props to support Regatta's retail campaign

Our team created unique visual props to be used in the campaign photography, working alongside Regatta's marketing team to identify central themes to communicate through images and marketing materials which included the durability of the products, the quality, toughness and range sizes, as well as showcasing - and celebrating! - the unique collaboration with Mark Felix, who is respected in strongman the world over. 

Our visual branding work for this retail campaign included:

  • Branded cement bags
    For complete authenticity, the cement bags we created for use in this shoot were 100% real and filled with 25kg of cement. Regatta's team and Impression wanted to show off Mark's strength and the hardwearing nature of the products. Fake wouldn't do - we wanted the real deal!

Unique props to support Regatta with their Workwear campaign

  • 'STRONG' photo shoot letter props
    Large prop letters were used in a number of different ways during the campaign photo shoot. Initially stacked in two layers for an image that promoted a specific product, letters were then adapted and stacked for use by Mark in his classic "Hercules Hold" pose which made a highlight of the campaign.

Both our Impression team and Regatta were chuffed with the results of the campaign photo shoot, the results of which can now be seen across Regatta's website, marketing and promotional materials.

Consult-Design-Create-Deliver by Impression for retail campaign projects

Enjoying a long-established working partnership with Regatta, our team benefited from excellent understanding of the client's vision and expectations for the Mark Felix campaign, applying our unique methodology to deliver highly-effective, eye-catching props:

Consult

Impression worked with Regatta's marketing team to identify the props required for the shoot, creating initial sketches which enabled both our team and the client to visualise how props would complement the Workwear range and place the client's collaboration with Mark Felix at the heart of the campaign. Consult was completed seamlessly, and the project planned to a schedule that met Regatta's strict launch programme.

Design

Following initial Consult sketches and ideas, our Design studio team created detailed artwork and specifications utilising the client's assets and our own ideas to bring the client's campaign vision and 'industrial' feel to life. During Design, our studio team collaborated closely with production in order to produce unique retail campaign props which could be scaled up and expertly reproduced in line with the client's budget and timescales.

Create

Produced in our own workshop in Greater Manchester, Impression's Create team takes unique campaign props from desktop to detailed one-offs. Working closely alongside each other at every phase, Impression ensured that Regatta's unique retail props were given the space needed in the workshop and the schedule to produce products which look great and create the visual appeal our client's looking for.

Deliver

Impression's own, in-house team of signage and props installers completed our Deliver phase, carefully transporting our unique retail campaign props to the photo shoot studio, setting up each for the client and allowing the shoot to progress smoothly. The visual impact in the studio translated well into the campaign imagery.
