New bespoke interiors installation for University of Manchester's Masdar Building

Impression has designed, produced and installed a suite of new bespoke interiors for the University of Manchester's Masdar Building, including custom wallpaper and large format image prints.

Home to the Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre, the Masdar Building is a world-class, industry-led centre specialising in the rapid development of graphene and graphene technologies, focusing on areas including composites, membranes, energy, formulations and coatings.

This pioneering technology, and the University’s role in its development, is highlighted through new artwork which includes a custom wallpaper to greet visitors to the Centre, as well as bespoke prints featuring on meeting room walls and in collaborative working spaces. Designed and printed in-house by Impression, the Masdar Building installation is another addition to our directional and other signage found throughout the University campus.

Enjoying a long working relationship with the University, we were excited to bring unique visual branding products to the Masdar Building which reflect the commitment the University has to both its work and its city.

Beginning as always with Consult, Impression worked with the University's team to understand the significance of the Masdar Building and the work it does, before creating an interiors scheme which complemented these important factors. Our Design process created large-format artwork which could then be produced during Create with crystal-clear print using our in-house technologies. As always, Deliver saw a fully-managed and experienced installation bring the desired impact to the Building.

Visual branding products used for this installation included:

• Bespoke, custom wallpaper with a unique Manchester city-scape design
• Internal signage to bring life to meeting rooms & collaborative working spaces
