Impression worked with Bolton Library & Museum Services and Wigan Council to roll out celebrations for The Queen's historic Platinum Jubilee, introducing bright, bold graphics into public spaces to create a party atmosphere.
For this once-in-a-lifetime event, Impression was pleased to work with both Bolton Library and Museum Services and Wigan Council to create fun large format graphics and props to engage visitors from across both boroughs.
Impression's team worked with both local authorities to understand their plans for the Jubilee weekend before creating a suite of products that captured their chosen themes, promotional locations and events venues. Print was completed fully in-house at our Bolton printshop before installation was completed by our specialists in time to get the parties started.
We were chuffed to support BLMS with its visual branding of the Library and Museum in central Bolton in readiness for a packed Jubilee weekend schedule.
Providing photo-worthy products to capture imaginations, Impression produced royal standees for a Corgi Trail, a 'peep board' carriage and even a book throne fit for any King or Queen! The BLMS team planned a busy and unique programme of events over the course of the weekend which made the most of the work we produced, including live brass music, messy play, bunting arts and crafts, a fabulous tea party play table, music through the decades, and quieter activities for SEN children. All events over the weekend were free and achieved excellent footfall and engagement, with fantastic comments from visitors.
The book throne is continuing to earn its place in the Library, celebrating Greater Manchester's Festival of Libraries with an opportunity to sit in the throne with a favourite read, together with events including performances, group discussions and an inspirational talk from Jay Blades.

Working with Wigan Council on its Platinum Jubilee plans, our work included visual branding in Wigan town centre to brighten up unused spaces with patriotic large format graphics, encouraging engagement and generating a buzz with social media selfie backdrops featuring - of course - the royal Corgi.
Over the course of the weekend, Wigan Council arranged events for Leigh and Wigan, including a Mayor's Jubilee Gala in Leigh and Wigan's Jubilee Party in the Park, encouraging local people to come together and enjoy music, games, food and other entertainment. Visitors were able to enjoy the Women's UEFA Euro Roadshow, getting a look at the trophy and taking part in other games and activities - even trying their hand at punditry!
Impression produced large format graphics for the outdoor events, including fun royal-themed images to use around the park.
Working together with our clients' town centres and events personnel, Impression's design and production teams delivered bright, eye-catching props, standees and large format graphics for each client. Through our Consult work, and enjoying strong relationships with our clients, we understood their goals for each event, the props and graphics they'd need to support them and devised a scheme to suit their timescales and schedules.
As ever, installation was planned to meet the clients' rollout programmes to ensure maximum impact from our work. Impression used robust materials for each product, helping them last throughout the weekend and beyond, where they can be repurposed for schools or other events.

Since 2008, Impression has delivered large format graphics, props, standees, visual branding and signage for well-known clients. Working with Greater Manchester and North West local authorities, popular visitor attractions, schools and universities, as well as high street retailers and organisations in many other sectors, our team creates bespoke, engaging props and visual products that generate talking points, footfall and interest.
Every aspect of your print, signage or props project is managed through our 'Consult-Design-Create-Deliver' methodology, turning work around quickly and entirely in-house by our Bolton, Greater Manchester team.
