The historic Bolton Central Library is an iconic landmark in Bolton, offering much-needed access to research facilities, a wide range of literature, business support, local history and children's services.

Reopening at the beginning of the year after an extensive refurbishment, funded by the Towns Fund, Bolton Central Library comprises a café, children and young people’s library space with areas suitable for different ages, social spaces, research and work facilities, and a mezzanine.

From wayfinding and external signage to 3D custom props, interactive learning walls, large format graphics and eye-catching displays, Impression brought Bolton Library to life through creative visual branding that immersed visitors into the world of reading.

Impression worked with the Bolton Library and Museum Services team to deliver visual branding, signage and displays that would complement the interior and architecture of this iconic landmark in Bolton.

A key factor to the refurbishment of Bolton Central Library was to create modern social spaces for visitors and attractive new services for the local community. What better way to achieve this than to incorporate impactful 3D custom props, easy-to-navigate wayfinding signage, an LED lit entrance way, acrylic shelf dividers, and colourful window vinyls and graphics!

Our visual branding, signage and displays created calm, attractive spaces within Bolton Central Library, which educate and inspire visitors, enhancing learning opportunities and experiences.
